Pop-ups & black border

A) 4.0 version presents annoying pop-ups in the bottom right-hand corner of my screen each & every time I access each module of AU. These pop-ups repeatedly provide information that even my 9-year-old granddaughter says is totally useless.

REQUEST- How can I stop the pop-ups?

B) The bottom segment of each module has a wide black border all across the bottom of the GUI. This is hideous! Why can't it stay like it was before? I detest big black blobs on my screen when I am trying to use AU.

REQUEST- How can I get rid of the big black borders at the bottom of my screen.

C) I thought I might be able to get rid of the black border problem by doing a repair on AU. However, I couldn't find any repair capability for AU. ALL other applications on my computer offer a "repair" mode. I access those modes by using Control Panel's add/remove. AU offers no repair capability. All that add/remove allows for AU is "remove."

D) Also, when I updated AU to 4.0 it did not leave me a copy of the updated program. Therefore I do not find a way to reinstall AU in hopes of fixing the black border.

REQUEST- Please tell me how to repair &/or re-install AU.

a. YOu can turn it off using Options > Misc page.
