wipe deleted file data: hangs for 8 second delay before action begins.
it was instant before for 6 months....any ideas

wizard/securely delete files works fast and good!

I never let go of a train of thought: I just get off the tracks in a few strange places....
The only delay that happens with me is when 'wipe deleted file data' tool starts, it tries to find out the harddisk partitions, and due to the coding it also checks for the existence of floppy drive which may take a few seconds. Please check if thats the case with you.
