* Revamped 'Erase Your History' tool GUI.
* Fixed an issue with 'Options' > 'View' > 'Set Font'. Changing the default font had no effect (Windows Vista and above).
* Since 'Verify digital signature' option makes 'Auto-start Manager' appear to be hung, a separate progress dialog is added.
* Added progress dialogs while loading 'Plug-ins', 'Misc. Items' pages in 'Erase Your History'.
* Fixed an issue where 'Erase Your History' was clearing user pinned jumplists.
* Added a seperate option in 'Erase Your History' > 'Start Menu' to clear all jumplists including pinned items for maximum privacy.
* Prevents non-expert users from disabling 'Hide Microsoft entries' in 'Options' > 'Auto-start Manager'. Issues a warning in 'expert user' mode.
* Fixed a crash in 'Find Duplicate Files' caused by buffer overflow (an uncaught exception).
* 'Uninstall Manager' now saves column width and sort order.
* Modified the invalid (question mark) icon for 'Auto-start Manager' and 'Uninstall Manager' (Windows Vista and above).

* Theme change now applies for AU Integrator as well.
* Revamped toolbar and icons for various tools.
* Added keyboard shortcuts for various actions.
* Added tooltips for various buttons.

* Removed old background style from Options > View.
* Added an option to use system titlebar and window border.
* Only one System restore point will be created each day ('Clean System Registry').
* Changed the progress bar style for various scanning actions.
* Modified default column background color of list views. Now only the sorted column will have gray background. The other columns will use system colors.
* Modified Options > View dialog. Removed custom second colomn color. Can now set sorted column background color.
* Fixed an issue with 'Options' > 'View' > 'Preview'. It was not showing any preview at all.

Other notes:
* To enable listing of mapped n/w drives in supported tools, you need to disable UAC (Windows Vista, 7).
* To enable mapped n/w drives in DA, uncheck 'Run as Administator' from the 'File' Menu.

Users can download v5.2, test it on their systems and send us feedbacks.

First peek:

Color theme (for example black office) suggestion
Everything is cool, but the color theme doesnt affect main ace utilites window who is blue
by default only tools like remove junk files, clean system registry etc...

Sugestion is that the main window changes with theme into black, silver, etc...

Remove junk files doesnt work, it finds all errors but it can not remove them for some reason (emergency option
selected)

The theme change will only affect individual tools, not the AU integrator. :-\

The junk files found are not being deleted? That's strange. What's the error prompt?

Just please consider to change au integrator default blue theme with other themes colors that are integrated

Update:

Just a minor issue with Windows 7 Ultimate x86, when au is open, the taskbar icon is blank (like create shortcut icon).

Also there is a issue with ace utilites (start) also there is blank icon (like create shortcut icon).This icon is working it is pointing to the au, but it is blank.

I double check it (Reinstalled 2 times) and also run as admin when i was installing.



Also there is a wierd issue in options when mouse pointer is over text:

Erase history - delete index dat.... the second row dissapear when mouse pointer is over text
("This option needs Internet Explorer - Delete locked url....) That line dissapear.

and also:

Automate section

After scaning show to confirmation......etc, bellow line dissapear

"this applies to 'clean system registry' that line dissapear


When for example i click automate section, and go back on erase history section and automate section, text is there,
but when mouse pointer is over text, in only those two example (other sections and text is good) same thing again words dissapear.

Acd See creates large number of thumb cache:

C:\Users\Nikola\AppData\Local\ACD Systems\Catalogs\110\Default

Thumbs have .cdx, .dbf, .fpt, extensions

Please add this path and this extensions into your plugin manager for acdsee to delete this thumbs.

1. It is because each option in the Misc page first scans and reports the total size of files to be deleted.
You can see it in the list itself. We cannot change that behavior as it is needed for that to function properly

2. It could be due to the Misc page options which were not checked before or the new Firefox sqlite compacting.

We'll see if we can do anything to decrease the delay.

Issue found and fixed. It will be updated in the release version. It happens only when you try to delete the entries by using the 'Remove' toolbar button. The files are deleted if you choose 'Delete All' from the 'Finished scanning' message instead. This applies to both 'Default' and 'Emergency' profiles.

Thanks for adding RegBak in Miscellaneous.

1. Would be nice to have a shortcut link to RegBak in the Start Menu under Ace Utilities>Utilities.

2. Personally I feel that "Other available hives" should be checked by default in RegBak.

3. I also feel that "Show Progress" should be the default and eliminate the Show Progress button in RegBak

I use ACDSee Photo Manager 11.0.85

.....

I have been reasearching junk files and i found interesting folder:

C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download, and there are couple folders with all downloaded 4 months win7 updates backup.Over a 400mb of junk files.I always thought that windows update downloaded files are somewhere in temp files,and those, for example kb 882822828 and installer files are deleted when installed.
But no they are still on pc creating junk.

Tell us more about the 'blank' icon you mentioned. By blank do you mean the default icon for unregistered file type? If it is not, then can you send a screenshot of it? Does this persist even after restarting Windows?

i forgot to send, also pin to taskbar blank icon.

... it stays like that even after restart, i double check it, actually three times now, by that i mean that i reistalled 3 times,
and also run as admin as well and normal install , but the problem is there.

... nh i think that i dont have problem with pc, or something, because all my other programs, have normal start menu,tray,etc icons...

I even installed some programs after au, and they have normal icons.
