REGISTRY CLEANUP SCANS

Post by pantomime_horse » Tue Nov 02, 2004 3:53 am

WOULD THERE BE ANY PROBLEM DOING REGISTRY CLEANUP SCANS BY INDIVIDUAL HIVE (HKEY_LOC_ MACHINE, HKEY_CUR_USER, HKEY_USERS) AND THEREBY BEING ABLE TO HANDLE FEWER ENTRIES AT A TIME? I THINK THERE IS SOME REDUNDANT RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN SOME OF THESE HIVES, BUT I DO NOT RECALL WHAT THEY ARE.

OR WOULD DELETING SOMETHING IN ONE HIVE CAUSE SOME PROBLEM IN ANOTHER HIVE? THIS WOULD MAKE HANDLING OF THE SCAN ENTRIES SOMEWHAT SIMPLER FOR ME AND MAYBE SAFER.

ALSO I ASSUME THAT THE OTHER MENU SCAN ENTRIES CAN BE PROCESSED IN ANY DESIRED ORDER AND COMBINATION, CORRECT?

THANKS
EMILEMMA :D

Yes, options can be scanned in any order and combination.
