Aneesh, there was nothing wrong with your program. Actually I was having an issue with Windows registry permissions that I was able to fix it. Now I am able to wipe Recycle bin from the context menu.

I am attaching some snapshots from a diff. program that I have on my system to clean Internet history. Please think adding the missing ones in Ace Utilities's Erase History. Also please add an option to Auto Detect all the installed applications under Erase History.

Thank you.

saad.

Check your private message folder.

Regarding 'selecting' installed applications:
You can do 'right-click > Select All' to select every entry in the list and then run the tool. There's no problem if you select programs which are not installed in your PC.

Running Vista SP2 x64 Business with AU V5.1.0.464 x64 and ST V3.0.0.434 x64.

On studying the Auto-Start Manager and comparing it to SysInternal's AutoRuns V9.51, it appears that several (most, in fact) are not displaying fully for 64-bit systems. It looks like items that are in the syswow64 area are not being detected by the SU/ST Auto-Start Manager. Also the Services category does not display system services that are installed but disabled.
Home Built ASUS ROG Maximus Extreme with Windows 10x64 Pro; Dell XPS 15 (9575) 2in1 with Windows 11x64 Pro; Dell XPS 8940SE with Windows 10 x64 Pro.

Can you say when are you going to release ace utilities 5.1 final version?
Can it be released in the period of 30 days or so?

I have Windows Vista 32-bit with Internet Explorer 8 on my system. I have 3 user accounts all with Administrator rights.

Erase History for All users of this computer does not clean Internet Explorer Cache and Internet Explorer Cookies for all the 3 users at same time. Erase History works fine ONLY for the logon account.

We've a couple of issues to fix at the moment. As soon as they are fixed, we'll release v5.1, probably within a week or two.

We just checked this and it work as expected. :-\

Make sure
1) At Options > Erase History > IE users, the 'All users of this computer' option is selected for both cache and cookies section.
2) All the required options are check-marked in Ace Utilities > Erase Your History tool >Internet Explorer section.

Is Vista's User Access Control (UAC) disabled? Also, is IE8 running in protected mode?

I have Vista 32-bit on my system. I have setup my Desktop icons view as Classic icons. When I use Erase History with Clear past icon history of system tray option enabled it moves back Desktop icons view from Classic icons to Medium icons (Vista default).

I have tried some other History eraser softwares they all clean past icon history of system tray without changing the Desktop icon's view.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\LowRegistry\Audio\PolicyConfig\PropertyStore
PropertyStore key can always have some invalid subkeys. Please think adding this in Registry Cleaner.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\AppCompatCache
On right pane 'AppCompatCache' value should be added in Erase History for deletion.

So, Aneesh, you've released a version that still has bugs?
Thank you,

Well, it's already past the release date set before. Also, even though I said 'issues/suggestions', mostly they're suggestions from users. If we wait till all the possible mods are applied, then it would be late. Those modifications which are feasible shall be implemented in upcoming versions.
