Erasing Folder Streams in the Windows Registry

When you have a moment, can you explain what this function does. Is it another way of saying that the MRU lists are erased?

Streams are history stored by Windows about your Explorer's window settings (like each window's size and location).
In short, it represents some parameters of each window you've opened.

A small side-effect is your Explorer windows will forget their appearance settings and revert to the default 'Show As Web Page' settings. There is nothing to worry about removing it.
