Installed. Looks good.
I like the redesigned layout on the Registry Cleanup page. And having the Sounds analysis removes one difference from Advanced System Optimizer.
Does it make sense to delete Cookies and History of other users along with their cache?
Nit: Ad-Aware 6 is not the same release as SE; may be confusing
Does it make sense to work toward having the graphic design of Erase Your History and Find Duplicate Files be similar to the other cleanup pages?
On the Uninstall page, right click/Edit Entry on a possible invalid doesn't do anything. (This was true in 2.40 also.) Probably should be grayed out if this is the case.

AU can find much more than others in the 'thorough' mode. Also, many entries are being ignored for safety. Wait for 2.5 in three months, and we will make it find even more. But of course safety first..And having the Sounds analysis removes one difference from Advanced System Optimizer.
The new option is for Temporary IE files only, not for cookies or history even though you can use it. We will implement this is in the 2.5 version. Also, deleting cookies of other users will not be a good idea. Cookies help auto-login to websites and other users might need some cookies. When we implement it in 2.5, the cookie manager will ignore important cookies of other users too...Does it make sense to delete Cookies and History of other users along with their cache?
Many versions of ad-aware plug-ins will confuse users. The same plug-in will work for both 6 and SE.Nit: Ad-Aware 6 is not the same release as SE; may be confusing
History Cleaner needs different type of controls on each page (lists, buttons, etc) and is difficult to make it look similar to other tools. But we have that idea in mind.Does it make sense to work toward having the graphic design of Erase Your History and Find Duplicate Files be similar to the other cleanup pages?
The dupfinder has an explorer list, and if we make it like junk cleaner's list, it will be too difficult to browse.
We will check it..On the Uninstall page, right click/Edit Entry on a possible invalid doesn't do anything. (This was true in 2.40 also.) Probably should be grayed out if this is the case.
thanks

Point taken on, a better one is coming in a bigger release. It is certainly true that the cache directory is the largest. The main reason I like to purge cookies across the board is that they tend to unnecessarily trigger spyware detectors.
There is no way to navigate to the "IE Users" configuration page from the Erase Your History page. Or for that matter the main erase history options page that has the "index.dat of cookies" checkbox on it. You must do this from main window/Options. I think a lot of folks might never find it.
I am suspicious that having the full pathname might be intimidating for some people. If I were doing this I might consider a UI that just has the username, and have you infer the full path. And maybe a margin note that reassures folks it is not going to harm Local Service and Network Service to have their cache deleted.
(Although, what you've really built here is a generally useful UI for "clean out this directory please", which has its own usefulness, and I can add other directories if I like.)
Does the other users cleaner handle index.dat?

Yep, I knew it already, and will add a button before the release. There is no way to navigate to the "IE Users" configuration page from the Erase Your History page.
I agree. But I created the option, as you have rightly found out, to clear any folder (delete all subfolders & files). So If i just show the username, it won't make sense adding full paths of other non-TIF folders. But I created that option for experts you know, I mean only for admins. Any suggestions ?I am suspicious that having the full pathname might be intimidating for some people. Fine !And maybe a margin note that reassures folks it is not going to harm Local Service and Network Service to have their cache deleted.
Yes, it will clear index.dat files. Index.dat files of other users can easily be deleted like any other file, since the user is not logged in and windows will not lock it. But if a user logs in, and uses Fast User Switching to log in to another account, the index.dat file of the first account cannot be deleted. But AU will take care of this and delete this file on rebootDoes the other users cleaner handle index.dat?

My second account IE temp folder is "C:\Documents and Settings\Sakis\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files"
Any folder, using any name inside this folder as well as in any other account IE temp folder cannot be deleted. AU deletes temp files but not subfolders.
Of course i run AU with admin rights.
Also, just noticed that uninstall manager window still restore its size to default, after a uninstall action.

Hi Inray,
AU deletes the folder "C:\Documents and Settings\Sakis\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\content.ie5".
IE stores temp files inside the folder '\content.ie5'. So Au won't delete any folders inside 'C:\Documents and Settings\Sakis\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files' other than 'content.ie5'.
I asked the path to see if it's the ''content.ie5" folder thats not being deleted. Can you give the full path names of a few folders inside
'C:\Documents and Settings\Sakis\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files' that are not being deleted ?
If there are folders inside 'C:\Documents and Settings\Sakis\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files' other than 'content.ie5', it might not have been created by IE.
