New Junk File and Cookies...

Post by greenlantern » Sat Apr 10, 2004 8:29 pm

Hi,

Where the Ace Utilities put the new file info that we add to the Junk File Remover and the Cookies that we say to not delete...

I want to know this, because when I install Ace Utilities again, have a backup of this file...

Thanks

Hi

To save the Ace Utilities program settings, execute the following command at Windows 'Run'.

1) Goto StartMenu - > Run
2) Type
Regedit.exe /e backup-path "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Ace Utilities\Ace Utilities"

3) Press 'Ok'

For example, If you want to backup the settings to your C drive under the name AceSettings.reg (Registry File Format), type
Regedit.exe /e C:\AceSettings.Reg "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Ace Utilities\Ace Utilities"

The above procedure will save all the settings.

To save Junk File Extensions only use "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Ace Utilities\Ace Utilities\JunkExt"

To save Cookies information only use "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Ace Utilities\Ace Utilities\Cookies"

Later, if you want to restore these settings, double-click on the saved file. It will ask for confirmation. Press 'Ok' to proceed.

I can't remember seeing any such option in any programs I've used so far . Then again, I've not used many :P Well, may be in the future versions...
