update

Post by pct_doc » Sat Feb 28, 2004 8:46 pm

Hi,

When I try to perform a webupdate I get the following message - unable to retrieve information from http://www.acelogix.com.

It was working when I first purchased Ace Utilities but then just stopped and hasn't worked since... any ideas?

Help appreciated

Thanks

hi,

Are you behind a firewall ? If so, it won't be able to connect.

May be at the time when you checked, our server was busy. Did you try again later ?

Update problem solved

Hi,

Thanks for the replies, it was my firewall that was blocking the connection. I disabled it and hey presto, it worked.

Thanks

Problem with update - me too!

Post by cato » Sat Mar 20, 2004 7:20 pm

Each time I try to seek an update, I get an error connecting to the server: Error 12007. Then my dial up connection disconnects. I did try disabling my firewall software and clearing the internet cache. Any other ideas?

If you're having this problem then you don't have the latest update of Ace Utilities. So, go to http://www.acelogix.com/ and download the latest version from there and install it and this should solve your problem!

updating Ace Utilities

Post by cato » Sat Mar 27, 2004 4:27 pm

I followed the link and reloaded Ace Utilities to the current version. That worked with no more server error. My ISP is Everyone's Internet. I had never seen that error before, but I am back in business. Thanks for the help. :D
