emilemma, I have a scanner and when I have it "Turned on" the software that the scanner is operated by creates files in my "Temp" folder, as long as I have the scanner "Turned On" and I would run Ace Utilities (Remove Junk Files) feature and delete those files they would still be re-created! So, any other software and Windows that would create "Temp" files would still be created even after AU finds them and you delete them. I know that it may be an inconvenience, but it comes along with the territory. Furthermore, I can't think of anything you could do to prevent this from occurring. :wink:

re-found files

Hi Em******a
At the risk of over simplifying;
Did you do a Re-start after each clean-up with Ace?
Were the files populated or zero in length\size?
Windows re-creates some working files-I do believe..

junk files

Post by pantomime_horse » Wed Nov 09, 2005 3:00 am

i understand what you are saying, but the no. of files was about 141, and i don't think all of those would be created by Windows, etc. while running the scan. maybe something in the include file is missing or etc. i will watch for awhile and see what develops.

thanks for info

i think it was related to a file that Adobe Reader put in 'Temp' folder. i deleted it and the problem seems to have disappeared. i will continue to watch it for awhile.

thanks
