Fast Internet Problems Galore

Post by thp » Fri Aug 26, 2005 5:48 am

After using the Fast Internet auto configuration, My net on both of my computers is drastically slow, I know for a fact FI caused the problem, However it wont let me restore the default windows settings. And no matter what I've tried by uninstalling or retrying the default windows settings, my cable modem connection is slow. Anything I attempt to do on the net, is slow. Please help! I've been trying to fix this for 5 days already.

Hi

Please let me know your OS. Is it XP ?

I will send a file that will restore the default settings.

(Uninstalling the program would restore the previous settings. Seems it has not worked :? )

Also, do you know how to use regedit ? If so, export the key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters and send it to hari@acelogix.net

Otherwise, download

http://www.acelogix.com/downloads/temp/regexp.exe

Run it, and send the file c:\fastnet.txt to hari@acelogix.com

Yes it is XP pro. I've gotten a file that supposively fixed the registry settings.. Still hasnt worked. I've uninstalled everything to do with the internet and my network, then rebuilt it from the ground up and still, nothing. I'm puzzled.

I however do know for a fact that everything was running fine prior to the fast internet doing an Auto optimization.
