hi,

It can be deleted using plug-ins now, but we will implement it in our latest beta. Please get back after two days, we will have that feature ready :)

Hi mark,

download http://www.acelogix.com/downloads/au_beta.exe

Open AU > Options > Erase History > IE users. If the cache folders are shown there (it must be), check mark them. Open Erase History > Inernet Explorer page and check mark the 'delete cache' option and click 'Execute Now' . let me know the result.

Tried it one one machine and it locked up a couple of times. I'm blaming the machine(it's a mess) This machine has 162 user profiles after alot of box checking ( A "check all" box would be nice ) I ran it successfully. removing almost 500MB of IE cache.
Then I ran the "remove junk files" with default settings and got 300MB more.
It repeatedly hung when trying to add "Includes" to the junk file remover. Very repeatable but only on 1 machine so far.
If i add " *\content.ie5 " or " *\cache " to the junk file include would this search the PC for all folders with that name and emtpy it ? (Ignoring hidden folder attibute)
Thanks

I just realized that i cant use wildcards on the include like you can on the exclude. So I guess my last question is a mute point

We did not implement wild cards as it could be dangerous.

There is no need to use the 'include' option for deleting cache, use the ew feature instead. Since it is new, it might have some bugs. We can fix it so that it will not freeze.

Let me know what you think the new feature is lacking except the 'check all' button.

Is it OK to share this Beta with some other techs to try and get feedback?
If it is OK I would like written permission to use 25 copies for evaluation and to prove cost justification. For a period of 30 days.
I do realize this has a trial period but we have policies restricting the use of demo's and shareware without permission.
Permission in the form of an Email is fine.
Please send permission to mark.wallis@boeing.com.

I can post any feedback here or send via Email.

Thanks
Mark

Of course. I have sent an email granting permission. Please go ahead and try it and let us know what they think.
