I just wanted to say how much I love Ace Utilities. Beginning with the "Startup" disable utility which has let me shutdown apps that previously I had not been able to disable. The "Junk file cleaner" and "Registry clean-up" utilities are great. I run these Utilities on a regularly. It is absolutely the most user-friendly program I have ever come across.

I can not tell you how many programs I have installed for trial run only to uninstall shortly after because of amount of needed to learn the program.

I just had pass on how much I like this product and thank the person(s) who produced Ace Utilities.

jmozzee I must agree with you, "Ace Utilities" is a terrific app to say the very least!!! And it was a pleasure and an great opportunity for me to help "Ace" with some of it's functions.

One day try was enough to convince me to buy it. Stable, easy to use and efective. What a nice software. Congratulation to the guy that has develope it!!

Tonight I encountered some difficulty while trying to download the new 2.2 version of Ace Utilities. After a couple of unsuccessful download attempts, an on-screen message popped up indicating that my registration number was not being recognized, and that an e-mail should be sent to AceLogix in order to obtain a new one. Did that and in less than TEN minutes the new registration number was received and it worked like a charm.

My most sincere thanks not only for an excellent product, but for the beyond excellent customer support.

I'm new to this forum, I just downloaded Registry Tuneup Pro, I was amazes at how quick the scan took and how user friendly it it is.

Q: A scan found multiple invalid paths, obsolete keys are these to remove? I'm able to confirm most registry entries as being --leftovers from uninstalls yet others go over my head.

I'm a bit concerned tampering with the registry if ya know what I mean.

In running Ace Utility’s registry scan and deleting invalid, obsolete keys, etc. I've never had any problems with my system afterwards!!! Ace Utilities is a very safe scanner. Just take a look at the "IgnoreList" and you'll see why. In short, the "IgnoreList" makes sure nothing is deleted that shouldn't be and you can also add to the list yourself if you like. Because you may have some applications or programs that you don’t want their registry entries to be scanned. I believe Ace U is the best application of it’s kind around period!! I could say a whole lot more but it would take up too much "Bandwidth!"

1. The "IgnoreList" can be found at: Windows Explorer>C:\>Program Files>Ace Utilites>Data>Ignore Reg


2. In short, Invalid Data Paths are entries that are found in your registry but are not found in your C:\ drive folders.

Please give our 'Ace Utilities' a try. It has a registry cleaner thats safer than that of Registry Tuneup.

I was actually talking about "Ace Utilities" IgnoreList, because frankly that's the application that I thought you were talking about. But I see that it was the standalone "Registry TuneUp" that you were referring to, which like Hari said "Ace Utilities" is safer.

Got it..... I was still able to locate the "ignore list."

Per Hari's request, I went and downloaded Ace Utilities from what I can tell the registry portion is similiar between the two utilities. Nonetheless, I ran it, I love it!, I haven't had any problems as of yet with the cleanup performed........

I'm trying to figure out what the Disk Analysis function does and most importantly "wiping deleted files" function. I have read and re-read the Ace Utilities Help on both these features but each is limited.

1. Disk Analysis - Lets you know where your largest files and folders are and maybe after seeing them it may be something that you can do without on your hard drive (And put on CDs) to have more usable disk space, I know I have done so!

2. Wiping Deleted Files - Well, if you're like me you might at times have to delete files from your system that are pretty personal/sensitive and you wouldn't want someone to get a hold of by way of a Trojan, or backdoor, or port in your system! And delete don't mean deleted, So, if you "Wipe" these files no one can retrieve them.

Yes...I read that in the help section of this great product, is that all it does? My disk analysis indicates I'm at 8.8% with I believe a permanent swap file of 253.9 as the first entry.

Q: Is this 8.8% of C:?

Yes, if that the drive that you ran it on. It will only analyze the drive you select. And yes, it is all that it does. That's enough for what a user needs to know about how their drives are loaded.
