Scanners and the like ...

Post by nikkicanlicky » Wed Jul 20, 2005 3:57 pm

I was just wondering if the Registry Cleaner worked OK with things like Scanners. I do not always have these types of things plugged in so it seems like registry entries would be "invalid" since the device itself is not present. Are these registry entries deleted making the device unusable? Would I need to carefully examine all entries to be deleted to make sure that this does not happen or is it smart enough to somehow "know" the entries are really OK?

Thanks!

Hi Loops, every scanner application that I've ever used has never removed it's entries to the "Temp files" after the program is closed, and when I run the Junk files cleaner they are picked up and I delete them with no problem at all!

It should not be a problem, don't worry. Such entries are left alone by the cleaner.
