There is an interesting discussion going on at Wilders Security Forum concerning Registry Monitors http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=32823

Can you please advise how Startup Guard compares, with details of the keys monitored.

I appreciate that you may be too busy to get involved in such a discussion.

hi

StartupGuard is not very advanced like some other programs mentioned there. It's meant to be lean and mean.

Here are the keys monitored:

HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
Explorer Homepage & Search page
Win.ini Load and Run Sections

Apart from this, SG can be customized to scan custom reg values, services, runonce section, etc. But this is hidden from the user. We will update it in a few months to provide it much more flexibility

Thanks for the reply. Its a very useful app as it is but If you do upgrade it, keep it lean and mean.
