Hi,
I observed with AU 5.5.0 (Win 7 64-bit) loading IE or G.Chrome Erase Your History, the time until the cleaning is finished is too long (it takes some minutes for each browser). Is it possible that the tool is using a Wipe method (unchecked secure delete options in Options/Erase History)? With the 5.4 version this behaviour did not occur, Erase Your History was fast in your cleaning process.
Thanks for commenting.
Erase Your History question
Re: Erase Your History question
Yes, it now securely deletes some more files, like cache.
Uncheck the below option, and let me know.
Options > Erase History > Secure delete files

Hi,
Options > Erase History > Secure delete files was always unchecked.
It would be good if we could have an option to select which type of deleting we want: simply deleting - deleting and wiping - totally wiping.
Thanks!

Re: Erase Your History question
Can you please perform an 'Analyze' and see if it takes long and if so, the status ?

Re: Erase Your History question
Hi
The scan with "Analyze" took about 16 minutes (Win 8.1)
The ítem with more time (~98% of time) was "Cleaning IE Visited Web Pages..." (at the right corner figured "Wiping...").
The results are attached.
