Ace Utilities Registry Cleaner

Post by kjl » Tue Aug 31, 2004 5:44 pm

Hi

I have just purchased Ace Utilities, I think it is great.

Out of curiosity I downloaded Registry Tuneup to see if it would detect any extra invalid registry Entries that Ace utilities did not, it found loads.

Is there a reason for this?

Looks like the only one to answer that question would be Hari, who is the developer of both apps!!

The difference between them is in the ignore-list. THat is, Registry Tuneup (RT) does not have some entries in the ignore-list that AU has. So RT might find a few more. But that depends on the system. If you uncheck the 'Use ignorelist' option under Ace Utilities > regcleaner Option, you can see which entries are being ignored. If you are an expert, you can delete some of them, after verifying they are invalid.

Also, if you want Registry Tuneup, we can give it for free.

Thank for your reply.

I am no expert at the registry.

I think the registry cleaner on ACE utilities does a good job.

When will the next update of ACE utilities be available?
