Hi,
I bought a laptop as a gift. It came with WinXP Media Center but has an Intel Core 2 Duo Processor and 2GB of RAM allowing an upgrade to Vista Premium if desired when it is released.
My understanding is that the Processor is 64bit.
Does this mean I should purchase the 64bit version of Ace Utilities or the 32bit version?
My appologies if this question is really "off base"--I just want to make sure I get the correct version.
Many thanks.
32bit vs. 64bit
Hi
Please don't be afraid to ask.
For a 64 bit program to work, the OS needs to be 64 bit.
You are using a 32-bit OS (WinXP) (on 64-bit hardware), so you need to buy the 32-bit version.
If you install the x64 version of XP or Vista, you can download the 64-bit version of Ace.
