After cleaning my computer it asked me to re-start in order to complete part of the cleaning process, when I logged back on to XP, nothing came back on the screen, the only thing that showed was my background but nothing showed on my desktop, no folders, programs etc. Is there anything I can do or am I just screwed!

I had this experience "Once" (But never again) and I just had to go to my programs list and put those shortcuts back on my desktop. I really don't know what caused it! I can't say that Ace Utilities caused it because like I said it has never occurred again! I guess it was a mystery of Windows! You know Windows can do some freaky things sometimes.

hi,

Can you see the taskbar ? ( the bar at bottom with start menu, clock, etc).

ALso, what were the utilities that you ran ?

On second thought it wasn't Ace Utilities that I ran it was "PestPatrol!" Sorry, Hari! :?
