Error messages after upgrading to Ace utilities 3.0

I just installed Ace utilities 3.0, and get nine different error messages in event viewer by simply opening the software. The source of the error messages is "side by side". They describe things needed that are not installed on my system. I started this same thread in another software forum, and others are having the same issue.
Heres a link with some screen captures of a few of the error messages.

I am running XP Pro, SP2, fully patched.

Hi Keizer, welcome to the forum! There is a new installer being used with AU 3.0 beta and this may or may not be the problem, I can't say for sure. But did you try uninstalling/reinstalling AU?

Yes, I tried un-installing, and re-installing several times. No luck!
Is Ace utilities 3.0 still beta?

Please download this version, but first empty your browser's cache before downloading.

I am having problems updating to the new version 3.0 from 2.6.
I get errors everytime I try and my computer ask me to report the problem to Micrsoft. I love this software, that is why I purchesed it after the free trail. Any ideas on how to get it to update?

Hi Lester40 and welcome to the forum. Try uninstalling 2.6 and then install AU 3.0 beta!

So Ace utilities 3.0 is still in beta? I used the update feature in Ace 2.6, and it doenloaded version 3.0. I didn't think betas were available through the update feature in the Ace program.....only final releases.

If a user wants the final releases then they have to download from the Homepage of AU as only final releases are posted there.

I am still confused then. The download from the Ace homepage is version 3.0. So from what you just said above, it is the final then? Not beta?

Keizer, you're right if a user updates from the AU app then that is a final release. Because only the beta's are downloaded from the "Development" area of the forum. So, what you downloaded from AU was a final release, and if you're getting error messages upon installation then there is a problem somewhere. I do know that a new installer is being used but I don't know if that's the problem or not.
Hari will have to check out your problem.

First of all, absolutely the best utility app -ever- in my opinion!
Upgrading to version 3.0 through the upgrade check, I too got an install error and was asked if I wanted to send a report to Bill Gates. This is not the first time I got this. I also got it a while ago when updrading to 2.6. This time, even though I clicked no to all the messages (sorry I did not write down the exact message for you), the upgrade seems to have worked, as I see the 3.0 version on the main screen.
I believe the problem is not a new one, but one that may be leftover from 2.5 or so. What I did the last time was to download the 2.6 au.exe and just ran it. I did not uninstall the old, as I didn't know if my personal settings would be lost. But - it worked. So - my guess is the upgrade via AU ~vs~ full install is the culprit.
When it is time to upgrade in the future to 3.1, do you recommend that I uninstall 3.0 first to kill anything leftover? If so, what about all of my settings? Will I have to redo everything?
Again - GREAT job !!!!
P.S. I am new to the forum. Is there a sw release document on 3.0 so I can see the new features and fixes? Couldn't find it on the main website.

Hi Billybob, welcome to the forum. I had that problem one time updating from v2.6 to install on top of v3.0 and I had to completely uninstall v2.6 and do a clean install of v3.0, since then everything has worked fine. Also, you now can save your preferences>Main Menu>Settings>Export Preferences to a folder of your choosing.
Change Log:
+Added wipe shell extension for files, and recyclebin
+Modified wiping alogrithms and options for Erasing
+Modified the GUI of SecureDelete
+Added secure delete option for deleting temp IE files (see Options > History)
+Added context menu for CookieManager
+Added filter box for uninstaller
+Ignore list editor Folders and Files
+Much improved Autorun Manager, with digital signature checks
+Modified GUI for History cleaner (done away with the ugly tabs)
+Added a new Misc page in History Cleaner
!Minor bugfixes

This thread is not about install errors, its about errors that end up in event viewer after installing.
My install of Ace 3.0 from 2.6 went totally fine. But whenever I open ace fron the desktop icon, it will produce nine different eror messages in event viewer. The software works fine, just produces error messages when I open it.
