Auto Detect Plug-ins

1. Erase Your History - plug-ins (do you want to auto-detect and check....etc) - YES
Auto-detect finds only two entrys word pad and window.Have at least 10 programs like winrar, adobe
reader,etc... which plug-ins are not auto detected.
2. Windows and windows word pad checked - execute marked plug-ins - close au, go to plug-ins - there are still
those two entrys. Is that normal behaviour, because history of usage is deleted? In meantime did not
open word pad, dont have internet explorer or something else opened.
3. Does auto detect finds all plug-ins, or just plug-ins with history of usage?
4. (pic1) no plug-ins selected (Two plug-ins)
5. (Pic2) check all (right click 7-Zip) - right side 7-Zip (everything selected) - 3 marked entrys (everything marked)
6. (Pic3) uncheck all (right click 7-Zip) - right side 7-Zip (not selected) - 211 marked entrys (nothing marked)
Regards

hi
Will fix the bugs.
If Winrar, adobe reader, etc do not have any history, Ace will not be able to detect it.
Will see if we can do something about it.

Some entrys have blue question marks.
Can you fix that, in order that all plugins which are not installed (detected) have blue question marks or some other icons, not only few.

Little issues
1Scenario:
Erase history - plugins - do you want to auto detect,etc.... - yes), after that uncheck all.
Go to misc items or any erase your history part(example),return to plugins - there is no auto detect pop out.
Erase history must be closed (x),and reopened in order to have auto detect pop out.
2Scenario:
Plug-ins - check all
Some plugins have sub-options like ACDSee Photo Manager, CoffeCup DirectFTP, etc.....
Sub-options are not affected(checked) by check all, can you do something about it?
Regards

Swish entry (unknown entry for me)
It has icon like it is auto detected, but it is not.
About this plugins. My opinion is, that a very small ammount of peope is using certain software which plugins are supported in au.
Au contains a lot plugins for old outdated software.Maybe you shoud consider to add more plugins for "brand" most used software,
and reduce plugins for old software.I must say that i never even heard for some plugins.I done a little reasearch ,there is a
great number of software which has last update somewhere in 2005-2007 and it has support plugins in au.
One example is smart explorer (last update 2001) and it has plugin in au.
nh...i will pay, if someone can find person who is using that software

That is by design. Since user dismissed the messagebox with NO, we do not want to show that messagebox box again.
2Scenario:

Some plugins have sub-options like ACDSee Photo Manager, CoffeCup DirectFTP, etc.....
Sub-options are not affected(checked) by check all, can you do something about it?
If sub-options have some entries which might cause some issues if checked, we leave it unchecked by default.
It is up to the user to check that.

We added those plugins many years ago because of user request. You are right, may be we should remove it.
Tip: you can just check mark all and not worry about which plug-ins are present in your PC. Only those applications which have a history will be run.

Windows logs not detected (installed)
Will check that, but cannot guarantee we can fix all, as it is not easy to detect all
Some plug-ins will also not be detected as their history have been deleted by you already.
Auto-detect works best on first run; not after history has been deleted already by running Ace before.
But like I said, you can just check mark all and not worry about which plug-ins are present in your PC.
Windows not detected (installed)
We don't checkmark that on purpose as it deletes "\Windows\SoftwareDistribution" which we don't recommend.
******All forum members must participate, more users means more different software, more plug-ins to check*********
Most users are satisfied with our program, and if they find any issue, they email support first. Since they get fixed, they won't bother posting in the forum.
So you will not have much company unless someone has found any issue and our emails are not reaching him or we are not replying

Hari, thank you for answering.
As you said that cannot be guaranteed that all can be fixed.
Auto-detect just want work somtimes for certain plugins.
Maybe it is better, that au is set to, check all by default, and there
will be no problems with auto detect any more for anyone.

Or to have 50-80 plugins for "brand" software and test it for possible issues.
I am willing to install all that software, and help you test it, if you want to
To make this work, with auto-detect thing.
Regards!

That is very kind of you, but no, that is a lot of work and we don't want you to do that.
We will do that ourselves. Thanks again for asking.
Or to have 50-80 plugins for "brand" software and test it for possible issues.
Let us know which plug-ins you think are important.
