Hi,
I've had to register here as Support were unable to assist.

I purchased Ace Utilities some years ago. I have moved on to a new machine ( Win7 64)

I am selling my old machine today / tomorrow and dont know the licence code so I can install on the new machine. Support state they have no record of my details. I have supplied the correct name to them as it shows up on the licence name on the old machine.

Can someone please tell me where I will find my licence details on the old machine before I uninstall Ace Utilities on it please

Thanks

Ace Utilities 32-bit and 64-bit license keys are different. If the key you purchased was for 64-bit Ace Utilities, then you can use it on Windows 7 64 also. To retrieve the license info, start a command prompt, navigate to the folder where Ace Utilities is installed and type "au info" without the quotes.

But if your key was for 32-bit Ace Utilities and you want to register Ace Utilities for a 64-bit Windows, then you need to purchase a key for 64-bit. If that's the case please send an email to Acelogix Support. They will provide you the necessary steps to proceed.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately I would need detailed instructions as to how to navigate from the command prompt !

I bought The software from yourselves some years ago. At the time it was called Ace Optimizer I believe. I would therefore need to upgrade to the 64 bit version.( I understand that previous purchasers would get a reduced price) The issue is that 'support' say they have no record of me in their database at all.

Thanks in advance

Assuming you've installed Ace Utilities in 'c:\program files\ace utilities'

Start menu > Run > type the following:
"c:\program files\Ace Utilities\au.exe" info
and click 'Ok'.

Regarding the 64-bit license, please send one more email to the Support section. I'll pass a note along as well. Tx.
