It's probably Windows Imaging Component. There's no uninstall information regarding this key in the 'uninstall' section of the registry. It's better to leave it alone, I think.

Removed,WIC entry was reported as invalid/missing target in au uninstall manager.
WIC icon description is black question mark in yellow circle.
There was no WIC entry in built-in windows uninstall manager, only au.
Wierd, fresh windows install, nothing uninstalled, maybe you shoud check that in future :?

Real question is, does the WIC entry appear in next situation, fresh windows install, au is first program installed, nothing else is installed, not even the drivers.
To bad that i did not check that situation :(

Regards :)

It'll be there after you install Windows 7 or perhaps after installing something like .net framework, etc. It's not shown in Windows 'Programs and Features', though it's there under the 'uninstall' section of the registry. The reason why WIC is reported as 'invalid' is because under this key there is no additional uninstall information that one would expect from a key of this nature.
