Registry Finder 64-Bit Compatibility

Referring to you email, I was able to download and reinstall Acelogix Registry Finder. After reinstallation I ran Registry Finder again and I received the same error as before (Failed to launch help).
In addition I was informed by my Operating System (Windows Vista 64-Bit):

On computers that are running Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows Server 2008, or Windows Server 2008 R2, you may be unable to open Help files that require the Windows Help (WinHlp32.exe) program. Microsoft stopped including the 32-bit Help file viewer in Windows releases beginning with Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008.

Special note for Help content providers who ship .hlp files: Starting with the release of Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008, third-party software developers are no longer authorized to redistribute WinHlp32.exe with their programs. For more information, see the "More information for Help content providers who are shipping .hlp files" section.

So, obviously the Registry Finder help file is not 64-Bit compatible.

Are you planning to update Registry Finder accordingly?

Please advice.

Thank you very much for any support you can provide.

Rgeistry Finder help is not a '.hlp' file, but a '.chm' file. But it seems there is an issue with launching help via the program. We'll fix it as soon as possible.

Thank you very much for your quick reply.

If possible, please update my entry once the issue has been resolved by your development team. I will observe this entry regulary. Upon feedback from you, I will run another test, and if successful, I will be happy to purchase "Registry Finder" immediately.

Aneesh, starting from today, next Tuesday, February 2nd, my Registry Finder evaluation will expire. I would like to purchase Registry Finder. However, you will understand that I cannot purchase this product without a properly working "Help" function. Therefore, please let me know asap, when your Development Team plans to resolve this issue. Thank you very much. Ron

Aneesh ... thank you for your reply. Yesterday, my Registry Finder trial version e x p i r e d . As from today, I am not able any longer to work with Registry Finder: A small window popped up asking me to "Buy this software" or "Enter Key". Once the missing "Help" function has been resolved and works fine (after a test from my side), I will order and purchase Registry Finder right away. Please keep me posted, preferable by a one line email to ron.wolfsohn@msn.com . Thank you very much for your support. Regards, Ron
