"clean system registry" does not finish scan

I run AU 4.2.0.457 on my WinXP proff v. 2002 sp 3 but the scan on the system registry does not finish (in a reasonable time) even when I mark only one off the HKEY's.
What is going wrong?

Did the issue exist in the previous version of Ace ? Or are you using Ace for the first time ?

It worked all right with the previous version.

Problems solved! It was a virus: clearAks.com/tdssserver.sys.
