Dear Sir,

I used PC TOOLS ThreadFire to Scan my computer and it alerted me that there is a TROJAN virus within the Registry Compactor (exe) program.

The Trojan is trojan-worm.sdbot.zms.

I used NIS 2008, but did not spot any problems. Can you advice if you have any ideas on this, PC TOOLS has not reply to my same question.

THank you

Hi,

We assure you that there are no malicious contents in any of the programs downloaded from Acelogix Software. I would like to bring your attention to a similar issue we've discussed a few months back regarding Ace Utilities. Kindly check this link http://acelogix.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=3033.

Thank you. I read thur the thread prior to posting this.

Nevertheless, have any users forward this matter? It seems I am the only one experiencing this issue.

So, what should I do? Actually, only version 3.5 of Threatfire has this problem, the last version of Threatfire did not.

Thank you.

Hi,

You can continue using the product without having any fear of it 'infecting' your pc. In the past, such 'false positive' alerts have disappeared when the spyware/anti-virus programs updated their definitions.
