Hi.
I have recently upgraded to Raxco PerfectDisk 2008 Professional. After running Ace Utilities Registry Cleaner, PerfectDisk fails to open.

I get the following error message.
Could Not Connect

Unable to connect to machine () with current user. Error (-2147467262) Possibly the machine doesn't exist or there are firewall issues.
I Googled it and found that it is caused by a registry cleaner.

See here.

To be sure that it was Ace Utilities causing the problem, I repaired PerfectDisk, then ran Ace Utilities again. Once again, I got this same error mesage when trying to open PerfectDisk.

I have been trying to find what entry it is so I can exclude it, but at this point in time, I have not been able to find it.

I will let you know if I do.

Kind regards...

It looks like Ace Utilities is not the only one having problems with PerfectDisk 2008.

Thanks protocol for the info. We'll check this. Meanwhile, I suppose you can add these entries to the ignore list, if you have done it already.
