Hey,

When I have anabled the option to run and clean with Ace at the startup of Windows XP. The program doesn't act.

Insteat I got the message I had to give in a Password for my account.

I didn't had a password set on my account.
And I did login automaticly on my XP.

After setting a password and still loggin in automaticly the task of Ace is still not operating on startup. When I set after logging in, it still not runs at the startup.

System stats:

XP home edition
Constant Internet access
Mcafee Virusscan and Firewall Plus installed

How to set it, so it runs on startup?

That's correct, you do! Here's how, click on Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>Scheduled Task>double-click Ace Optimizer Maintenance>click Set Password>choose a password>check "Enabled (Scheduled task runs at specified time)" box then click "OK"! And that should do it. The task will run as scheduled

Tip! You must have Administrator Privileges.

I have done the things you mentioned, didn't work.

Do I have to see any changes in MSconfig?
Because I did not.

Quick reply by the way.

I have took some screenshots of that settings menu, maybe you can help me out beter at then.

The picture was a Great idea, leave "Start In" blank, and on the "Schedule tab" enter a "Start time"! Also, I noticed you have your "D" drive indicated instead of "C"!

I could anable it this way.
I have add it to my start up options in my Start Menu.
Then I have tweaked it with you own program with the edit Tool in startup options. I have add the '/tasks:jrhs' and it works fine as far that it runs on startup.

Thanx for your help.

Euhm for some reason I was not logged in, last post, your site was out of the air for a moment, maybe that was it.

But I had added before that I could get it working with your settings.
After that I posted my own solution.

"When I have anabled the option to run and clean with Ace at the startup of Windows XP. The program doesn't act."

Question, did you create the scheduled run of AU from within AU? If so, how about deleting the scheduled entry from "The Windows Scheduler" then re-scheduled AU to run at Windows start-up again from the AU Miscellaneous "Schedule System Maintenance" window. Then set the password and time again as before. And see if this will cause AU to run. Because I'm not having any problem at all in scheduling this task through AU.
