Here's a relatively odd and minor glitch I came across after installing System Tuneup. I found that even with the option selected to install the program into the startbar, it will not show up at all until there a reboot is done. I'm not sure if this has to do with something else, so if you need any more information I'll see what I can do to help.
P.S It also shows up as System TuneUp in the Start menu with only the application listed below--was this intended or was it supposed to be under the category of Acelogix with a bit more information? (I didn't change the name of the start menu directory when installing, and to be honest I forgot what the actual name was when I did do the install--I'm just looking for confirmation).
System TuneUp shows up in the Start Menu only after Reboot
Re: System TuneUp shows up in the Start Menu only after Reboot
It is indeed an odd glitch. Which version of Windows are you using? I just tested installing System TuneUp on a fresh Windows XP Professional (32-bit) installation. The shortcuts were created as intended; one in quick launch, one in desktop and one Start Menu folder named 'System TuneUp' with the link to the main application inside the folder. There is only one link inside the Start Menu folder unlike that of the Ace Utilities Start Menu folder where additional shortcuts to launch the tools individually are listed.

Re: System TuneUp shows up in the Start Menu only after Reboot
I'm currently using Windows Vista Home Premium (fully patched, 32-bit). As for the rest of the install seems to have gone by fine though (didn't select quicklaunch, although the desktop icon was made properly). Also, thanks for confirming the information with me--if you need any more possible info I'll see what I can do.
Re: System TuneUp shows up in the Start Menu only after Reboot
We tried installing System Tuneup on a new Windows Vista installation. All the shortcuts were created by the installer as intended. I guess it is an isolated issue and may not even happen to you twice should you attempt to install the same at a later date.

Re: System TuneUp shows up in the Start Menu only after Reboot
Well that is a possibility as this similar problem has only happened once to another application I've installed previously, except the start menu entry for it ended up being invalid and actually had to be removed by System TuneUp since it was just sitting there not doing its job regardless of whatever tweaking I tried to do (wasn't up to reinstalling it just for that problem though). I'm guessing this is more of an odd issue with Vista then it is with the program.
