Router possibly prohibiting Ace Utilities from updating

Post by shortbuss » Sat Feb 21, 2004 7:03 pm

I've downloaded the Ace Utilities Demo and was wondering what Ports I should forward in my router setup to let ace utilities connect to the internet or server etc to download updates. I really like the program so far, but if it doesn't work with my router I'll probably not buy it.

Any help is appreciated,

Eric B

You are the best one to determine that since your system has been configured for your use, but maybe this article can help: http://computer.howstuffworks.com/router3.htm

hi,

It uses http to connect and hence acts like any browser.

Also, you need to update only once in say 3 months. That you can easily do by downloading and installing the latest version from this site.
