Small bug in Cookie Manager

Hi Hari,

I've been following your posts at DSLR and saw you mention the new beta so I thought I'd give it a go.

I've found a small problem in the Cookie Manager dialog. When I view the cookies in IE then switch to Firefox through the Combobox, the IE cookies remain in the list but only their hit rate shows with the Firefox cookies showing correctly at the very bottom.

*EDIT* As a side note, if you go from IE to Mozilla to Firefox the problem does not occur. Only from IE directly to Firefox.

If this doesn't make sense I'll be glad to send you a screenshot of the issue.

Thanks,

Bill

Hi hari,

AU shows as invalid, the whole HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Tracing tree, because of referenced %windir%\tracing folder that doesn't exist in my system. AFAIK this directory is dynamically created by system and used to store routing/trace logs when Windows acts as server/router.
Don't you think that this branch should be ignored by default ?

Great eyes Inray,

Yes I thought about that, but since there is no problem, I included it.

Real reason : Many users wrongly think that the number of invalid entries found is a measure of how good a cleaner is. I found all other cleaners were showing this key.

Anyway I'll add it to the ignore list.

Hi hari,

I think is program is great. I'm tryin the beta version currently. One suggestion. In the junk file remover options window, it may help if there was buttons with select all and recommended (would based on whats safe) for the junk files without manually clicking all of them. Looking for bugs too. Later.

Hi, hari

Thanks for the quick response. I didn't know you had these options as a right click menu. Ace Utilities is gets better and better. Do you know what you are gonna do about Registry Finder and Registry Compactor yet? Will they be separate programs or part of Ace Utilities? Keep up the good work. Also I don't have as good of eyes as inray. Hehe. Later.

hi,

Most list controls in AU have popup menus. Check out the popup menu of the drives list in the junk cleaner.

Registry Finder and Registry Compactor will be seperate programs. Registry comapctor will be free for all AU registered users. Some time in the future, these tools will be integrated into AU.

Hi,

In Wizard mode, AU should play sound when finished all tasks. Instead that, it sounds after each step (4 times).

Also, sometimes AU resets column width to default. That happens randomly and after days of normal use.

Besides that, latest beta looks rock solid :)
It has been tested with WinXP/sp1, Win2k3 server, WinXP sp2rc2 and final sp2/RTM (MSDN version).

Best Regards
