Hi,
Installed 5.0 on my Vista SP2 and it`s great
1. Hope 5.1 could have a context menu manager (right-button menu / sendto / new...)
2. Hope you can update your TweakNTune and integrate its core functions into AU.
e.g. Windows Vista SP2 tcp half-connection adjustment.
3. Hope Registry Compactor can be integrated into 5.1
4. Hope more basic useful utilities can be integrated. I like the style of AU, which is better than iolo SM and SU
e.g.
Clean Up (no change)
Optimize
|- Tweak N Tune (context menu manager included)
|- Registry Compactor
|- RAM Optimizer
|- Uninstall Manager
Protect
|- Auto start manager
|- Secure delete files
|- Disk Wiper (both full disk and free space)
|- Undeleter
Miscellaneous
|- Find dupulicate files
(Other no change)
New feature suggestion in AU 5.1
Re: New feature suggestion in AU 5.1
I am so disappointed that nobody take care of my suggestion here, even no reply from customer support --- That`s how u treat a registered user.
Nice boat.

We do read the posts and value all the suggestions from our users. Not posting an acknowledgment for a thread in 'suggestions' does not mean we ignored it.

However your neglect will made users misconstrued.
I am also a moderator in a Chinese Google-PR-6 forum and a beta-tester of some software. In my experience an "ACK" might mean little for our governors but its important to users.
After I post the first thread, I have forwarded the same thing to your customer support. No reply. Were you me, what would you think?
I have tried a lot of system utilities, while I own at least 5 different licenses of those "well-known" system utilities. However now I recommended only 2 to my friends and my forum members, one of which is your AceUtilities. Although I feel disappointed because of your customer support. I have to say your software is nearly excellent --- far more better than other "well-known" stuff which need users to pay by years.
BTW: you auto-update function seems never works. Compared to those who regularly update their junk file/registry databases, this shortage might make you lose some potential customers. You may think you have good algorithm. But you cannot make those people seen --- "Seeing is believing"
Sorry 4 my bad English, I do like your software.
Good luck.

Re: New feature suggestion in AU 5.1
Some users have told us that they experience issues with auto-update. But a few of those same users have also told us that they could proceed with the update when they tried from a different ISP. Also, make sure that firewall/internet security system is not blocking the update module from accessing the internet.

Re: New feature suggestion in AU 5.1
Hi,
I have an experimental environment which I used to test software. It only contains a fresh installation of Win Vista SP2 x86, latest drivers, .Net 3.5 SP1 with updates, VC Redist 2005 SP1 & 2008 SP1, latest DX redist
I have tested AU in both Sonera & Netikka (2 ISPs in Finland), the update components reads "No update needed".
I don`t mean the version update function, I mean something like "junk key / files signature" and "ignore list". You know there are new software everyday, so I think those stuff like exclusion list should be regularly updated (every month?).
Regards
Clemond
