STU 2.2.0.425 Beta: User Feedback

Post by siliconman01 » Mon Jul 28, 2008 9:42 am

Except for a few bugs (which is typical for early beta versions), I feel that System TuneUp on my Vista and XP systems is very good. I like the GUI much better than Ace Utilities because it is easier to work with and is more in line with modern Vista and XP programs. At this stage of beta testing, I give STU an A-. :)

I have other registry cleaners on my systems for comparison purposes. I find that System TuneUp (and Ace Utilities) finds several registry keys for deletion that other cleaners do not. I usually run Deep Scans to see what false items the various cleaners pick up. It is fairly uncommon for STU and AU to falsely detect registry keys for deletion.

Do you want feedback for what other registry cleaners find that System TuneUp and Ace Utilities do not find? I am referring to valid detections. This may permit you to strengthen STU and AU detection rate.

Hopefully a link to Registry Compactor V1.4 will be added to STU.

Yes, please do that test and send us a report.
Also, run AU or STU without the 'Use ignorelist' option to view errors ignored.

Link for RC has been added already.

Where are the RC links? I can only find the 2.2 beta links.

Release versions will only be available after a few days from now. Most probably, Ace Utilities v4.2 will be released first.
