Firefox features?

Post by ViddyFlyer » Tue Sep 11, 2007 11:48 am

For a few years now I've been a very happy Ace Utilities user. EVERY time I power-up my PC I next run AU to clear unwanted cookies from my many browser wanderings. (I also frequently use the registry cleaner.)

I recently found a serious problem with either Internet Explorer or file Explorer ... or both. Problem is one of my hard drives goes "nuts" after a (intermittent) amount of time and starts "clicking" and then refuses to be recognized until I reboot. I don't believe it's a hardware problem.

Since replacing the gone haywire Microsoft products with after market programs, Firefox 2.0 and (file) Xplorer2, my HD problem has gone away. "Fixing" Windows is in order, but since all else works well I'd prefer this substitution work around.

Your cookie manager for Firefox works a little different than for IE. For IE all new cookies are displayed in the manager list at the bottom which makes it very easy to review them. In your Firefox cookie manager listing the new cookies are scattered through the whole list which takes time to find and try to determine which "go together." Any chance the Firefox cookie manager listing could be made to match that of the IE one? So the newest cookies would show together?

Another of the Ace Utilities features I find VERY useful is the address line manager for IE. I've looked for that feature for Firefox but cannot find it in either Ace Utilities or in Firefox options ... where it's called the location bar. I'd sure like to see a new Ace Utilities "location bar editor" in the Firefox options.

Thanks for "listening: and THANKS for a GREAT product!
