Ace Utilities 64-bit version
Ace Utilities 64-bit version
Dear users,
We're releasing a beta version of Ace Utilities 64-bit. This setup is a 30-day trial version, and the registration keys you have for 32-bit version won't work with this one. Those of you who has a 64-bit pc please try this and let us know the results including the problems, if any. Once again, thank you for support and patience you guys have shown us.
Update, Oct. 28:
Ace Utilities 64-bit for Windows XP x64 has been released.
The existing serial number will not match with the 64-bit version. Due to the development and testing costs incurred, we have decided to provide the 64-bit version at a small price to the existing license holders. Those who have purchased the Ace Utilities 32-bit version can get the 64-bit version at a discount rate of US$ 14.95. Licensed members are requested to contact the Acelogix Support to get the new serial key. New purchase will cost the same as that of the 32-bit version.

Thank you for all the support.
Note: The Ace Utilities 64-bit version is not yet certified by the Acelogix Software team to be used with Windows Vista RC1. Users who wish to do so should be careful of what they do.

Thank you for the 64 bit version - I will gladly 'beta test' for you - you have saved my skin twice now ..... however, does this licensing issue mean that you will be charging for this software ? and if so how much ? - I don't object to paying good programmers for their work, just I'd like to know how much we are to pay !!! - Just downloaded au64 - will let you know how I progress ..... later.
Acelogix Software has not yet decided on the pricing details of the 64-bit version of Ace Utilities. The existing license holders may only have to pay a marginal amount should they decide to purchase a 64-bit version. New users may have to pay a bit more than the price of the current 32-bit version. The final details will be published later.FatDave wrote:Thank you for the 64 bit version - I will gladly 'beta test' for you - you have saved my skin twice now ..... however, does this licensing issue mean that you will be charging for this software ? and if so how much ? - I don't object to paying good programmers for their work, just I'd like to know how much we are to pay !!! - Just downloaded au64 - will let you know how I progress ..... later.

Right, 1st week of use has passed with no problems - used most features - including context menu addition to recycle bin menu - cleans registry correctly (so far as I can see anyway) - pc still running (a little faster due to less bloat in the registry and on HDD) - well done ! - If I encounter any problems I will let you know - so far so good.....

Re: Windows vista ultimate 64 bit
The current 64 bit version is valid only for Windows XP 64-bit. We are testing the compatability with Vista RC1. So I would recommend you to be cautious when using Ace Utilities with Vista.Yorkie wrote:Hi
I am currently running the Windows Vista 64bit rc1 evaluation operating system and you will be pleased to know that your 64 bit version of ace utilites seems to work fine on the majority of operations, the only problem i have is when trying to erase the recycle bin through the " protect - wipe deleted file data " which crashes ace utilities.
Thank you for your input.
