Instead of a full bluwn spyware protector why not just add somethign that can protect new programs from installing items into yoru registry without your explicit allowance?

By chance does the registry compactor ignore certain folders such as Norton ones and so on? I'm aware that certain parts of ace utilities do that.

I'm sure this idea has been mentioned before since you already have an option to permanently delete files.

I was curious, how hard would it be to write a file recovery program for Ace Utilities? One that would recover the files accidentally delete through windows explorer.

So may be we are deleting the wrong files. Do you have multi-user setup ? Can you search your disk for locations of files like 'vlink4.dat'. (search in hidden folders too).
