At the risk of taking this slightly off topic, I discovered that the problem with System Mechanic is that it slows to an absolute crawl when it hits a large compressed file, which there are plenty of in the Windows patch undo's. Unfortunately their website did not give me a way to contact them to re...

Best to leave defragging to those who specialize in it. As Hari correctly points out it is a lot of effort and if not done properly can corrupt data or make things perform worse. The oldest defraggers have probably 20 years of refinement under their belts.

Aha. So it is not a general directory cleanout engine. You are already inferring the "Content.IE5" part of the path and this cannot be overridden.

I renew my claim that the UI should only expose the username and infer the rest.

Many versions of ad-aware plug-ins will confuse users. The same plug-in will work for both 6 and SE.
I saw that, so how about renaming the plugin to just "Ad-Aware" or "Ad-Aware 6 and SE". The way it is does not suggest to the user that it works for SE.

Installed. Looks good. I like the redesigned layout on the Registry Cleanup page. And having the Sounds analysis removes one difference from Advanced System Optimizer. Does it make sense to delete Cookies and History of other users along with their cache? Nit: Ad-Aware 6 is not the same release as S...

I might have written operating systems for a living ... In a virtual memory system, it makes no sense to "defragment" physical memory. Any physical memory page can map to any virtual memory page with no loss of performance. In a virtual memory system there is little advantage in having free physical...

When you get a chance, having the "delete permanently" option for shortcuts to make it consistent with junk files would be a nice touch.
