It's in Options under VIEW.... "Edit back ground color"! When a color is selected and the "Preview" is clicked on nothing happens.

There are a lot of apps out there that users have to renew (Pay for) every year! It's only FAIR that Ace Utilities 64-bit should be purchased and NOT be a FREE upgrade to Ace Utilities 32-bit users. As Jazz has stated using the Windows System Restore feature, if you are using Windows XP or ME this can be accomplished and after doing so AU will be at a point when it was operating. You said, "Appears to be leaving fair number of entries for software long gone," so that means you remembered the names of the programs found in the scan, right? If you can look at registry entries found by the registry scan and know that you uninstalled that software sometime ago then you can use R...
