It's in Options under VIEW.... "Edit back ground color"! When a color is selected and the "Preview" is clicked on nothing happens.

As Jazz has stated using the Windows System Restore feature, if you are using Windows XP or ME this can be accomplished and after doing so AU will be at a point when it was operating.
