Re: System TuneUp shows up in the Start Menu only after Reboot
Well that is a possibility as this similar problem has only happened once to another application I've installed previously, except the start menu entry for it ended up being invalid and actually had to be removed by System TuneUp since it was just sitting there not doing its job regardless of whatev...

Re: Can't Add Registries to the Ignore List in System TuneUp
Thanks for the reply, and just to respond to your last question, I am using the latest version (checked for updates and there weren't any--current version I have is 2.1.1.423).

Re: Can't Add Registries to the Ignore List in System TuneUp
Here's an odd update on the situation: some of the entries I couldn't ignore previously are now able to be ignored! However there still are a few that I cannot add to the ignore list, which fall under the category of file extensions.

Can't Add Registries to the Ignore List in System TuneUp
Well as the topic says, for some odd reason I can't add registries into the ignore list except through the manual method in the options menu when using System TuneUp (and manually doing it is rather mind-boggling for a registry novice like me). Apparently after running a scan I right click a product...

Re: Ace Utilities is being Detected as a Virus
I just checked after installing Avast v4.7 Professional Edition with the latest virus definitions/signatures with all its bells and whistles enabled. But I didn't get any warnings/popups while downloading Ace Utilities from the download page; nor did anything come up while scanning the .exe file af...

Re: System TuneUp shows up in the Start Menu only after Reboot
I'm currently using Windows Vista Home Premium (fully patched, 32-bit). As for the rest of the install seems to have gone by fine though (didn't select quicklaunch, although the desktop icon was made properly). Also, thanks for confirming the information with me--if you need any more possible info I...

Re: Ace Utilities is being Detected as a Virus
I'm still getting the same error. avast is detecting au.exe, even inside the aufull.exe install file as a trojan. I do believe this is a false positive, but uninstalled Ace Utilities and put aufull.eve in my virus chest just to be sure. Once this is cleared up, I'll reinstall it. I submitted aufull...

System TuneUp shows up in the Start Menu only after Reboot
Here's a relatively odd and minor glitch I came across after installing System Tuneup. I found that even with the option selected to install the program into the startbar, it will not show up at all until there a reboot is done. I'm not sure if this has to do with something else, so if you need any ...

Re: Ace Utilities is being Detected as a Virus
Just an update to the situation, avast! just updated its signatures today and it looks like the false positive for this program have been resolved after a few reports of it . However, the status of the other scanners may still need to be looked into.

Ace Utilities is being Detected as a Virus
I've just purchased System TuneUp a while ago, and when I was about to do a download, avast! antivirus popped up saying that it was a virus thus sending in a handful of alerts which prevented me from installing it let alone download it properly. This got me thinking that it was a false positive sinc...
